Teacher exchange programs in the US are designed to promote the interchange of ideas among American and foreign teachers in public and private schools while enhancing the mutual understanding between people of the United States and other countries. Additionally, these programs allow international educators to participate actively in cultural activities with Americans in schools and communities. Finally, the program’s goal encourages teachers to share their experiences and increased knowledge of the United States with their countrymen when they return home.
